principles of partnering
Jessy Tuddenham

These classes will focus on both technical and energetic aids that help to soften and stabilize our partnering form.  We will work solo and beyond to explore anatomical alignment and efficiency of movement, as we juggle muscle power and strength with breath and release.  This is a space to warm up our bodies and develop our technique as we relate to others physically and emotionally.  Soft JOINTS will be found, the PELVIS will play a key role, the NERVOUS SYSTEM will relax, IMAGINATION will be called upon, and LAUGHTER and lightness of ATTITUDE encouraged above all.

Jessy Tuddenham is curious and explores being human, and the creativity therein, in various shapes and sizes.  Most easily stated, she is a teacher of yoga & dance, and a performer of movement, text, improvisation and set choreography.  She received her MFA degree in Dance Performance and Choreography in 2003 from Mills College in Oakland, California and relocated to Berlin shortly thereafter.  Currently, she is obsessed with story telling and explores this through her solo series titled,  "Biographies".  She could also tell you a story or two about the city of Berlin, which may or may not be true.  She has an unsuccessful blog site and an unfulfilled dream to work in radio.  Her mother thinks she is a raging success.  She was born 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
